Community Group Ministries VisionThe Community Group Ministries vision is to provide a welcoming small-group environment where participants experience authentic relationships and ongoing spiritual transformation. Our mission is to provide a forum where believing and pre-believing adults can connect to God, connect with others, and ultimately connect for service. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life
for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has
material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how
can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or
tongue but with actions and in truth.
Our Groups' MethodTo accomplish our mission, our lives must change. We believe life change best occurs in the in the context of authentic relationships. Therefore, we are committed to creating environments whereby adult relationship are formed and deepened, with the purpose of spurring one another on to become more like Jesus Christ. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and
good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of
doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the
Day approaching.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with
awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the
believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions
and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet
together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the
people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
