Our Mission
Our mission is to provide guidance and support to those members of Grace Church, their immediate family, and friends who have lost their jobs. The focus will be to help them recover spiritually and emotionally from the job loss and transition through the career change and job search process as effectively as possible in a way that honors Jesus Christ.
Issues We'll Be Covering in the Support Group
Spiritual well being — the importance of the grieving and healing process of your loss and your relationship to the Lord
Financial well being — the need for knowing what your resources are and managing them well
Physical well being — the value of staying fit and having a plan to do so
Relational well being — the necessity of good communications with your family and friends
Vocational well being — doing your part to prepare for your future direction:
- The job search process
- Assessing your strengths, values, gifts, goals, etc.
- Putting together a compelling resume (content, format, etc.)
- Brushing up on the latest technology and related skills
- Acquiring references and networking your resources
- Dusting off "honey-do" lists and prioritizing tasks based on available resources

Maximizing your support network:
- Accountability partners
- Resume screeners
- Sounding board
- Mock interviews
We have several people who have volunteered to act as resources during a career transition to help with all of these issues.
